Sh. Jawahar Lal Nehru is my favorite leader. He was a great son of mother India. He was the first prime minister of our country. He was one of the greatest men of his time.
Jawahar was the only son of his parents. He was born on November 14, 1889. He was born in Allahabad. Shri Moti Lal Nehru was his father. His mother was Srimati Swaroop Rani. He was sent to England for higher studies. There he studied law. Then he came back to India. He met Mahatma Gandhi. He became his follower. He took part in our struggle for freedom. He was sent to jail many times. He became our first prime minister in 1947.
he was a great writer. he loved peace. He loved children very much. They called him ‘Chacha Nehru ‘. His birthday is celebrated as children’s day.
he died in 1964. He will be remembered forever.
