The recent solar eclipse made news throughout the country for many reasons. it was a total solar eclipse in India. Elaborate arrangements were made by the planetarium authorities at Jaipur to observe the eclipse. I was one of the lucky few who could available for this rare but exciting opportunity. The eclipse began exactly at 9.00 a.m. on the 18th morning. Gradually, the ball of fire was consumed by the eclipse. By 9.40 a.m. the eclipse was total. It got quite dark even the birds started chirping. They returned to their nests. They thought it was evening time. I could see all the phases and stages of the eclipse. It was such a rare and rewarding historical experience.
