There are many challenges confronting free India. The biggest challenge is posed by overpopulation. Despite all efforts of the government to contain the rate of population increase, things are where they were. The fast-increasing population has put tremendous pressure on our meager resources. Extra demand for land is being met by clearing forests which is causing a great imbalance in our ecosystem and environmental corruption in high places is another threat. The political class of our country has become criminalized because of the entry of criminals into our body – politics. The common man is just copying these uncommon people. Communalism is also a terrifying problem in India. Terrorism in India is also pushing the country back. These are some of the challenges in our free India.
